3. Location Privacy

Your privacy is our priority. Location sharing on TheCoworkApp is entirely opt-in:

• Check-in based: Your location is only visible when you actively check in to a venue
• No background tracking: We never track your location in the background
• Venue-level only: We show the venue name, not your precise coordinates
• You control visibility: Check out anytime to stop sharing your location

4. City Partners & Sponsors

TheCoworkApp partners with local organizations, coworking spaces, and sponsors to enhance the remote work experience in specific cities. When you participate in city campaigns or partner programs:

• Partners may see aggregated, anonymized data about campaign participation (e.g., number of check-ins, popular venues)
• Your personal information is never shared with partners without your explicit consent
• Partner venues may be highlighted in the app, but this does not affect your data privacy
• You can opt out of partner campaigns at any time

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate TheCoworkApp:

• Supabase: Authentication, database, and file storage
• Google Maps: Venue locations and mapping
• Push notification services: Delivering app notifications
• Analytics: Understanding app usage to improve the experience

These services have their own privacy policies and are contractually bound to protect your data.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

• Messages: Retained until you or the other party deletes them
